Disclaimers

All shipments must be inspected carefully upon receipt, verifying correct pattern, color, design, and yardage BEFORE GOODS ARE CUT. Merchandise will not be accepted for credit once goods have been cut into, fabricated, or upholstered.

Return authorization requests must be made in writing and must include the Cortex Fabrics invoice number, date of invoice, and reason for the return. All requests for return and credit must be made within 30 days of the invoice date. A 25% restocking fee will be applied to all stock merchandise, unless otherwise authorized by management. Buyer is responsible for freight charges back to our warehouse.

Since color variations often cannot be avoided from one dye lot to another, we will not issue a credit for dye lot variations. If an exact match is required, please request a reserve and cutting of current stock for approval before shipping.

Cortex Fabrics cannot be responsible for damages to the fabric that occur in transit, storage, and/or delivery. All shipments are F.O.B. Warehouse.

Purchase Orders must provide ALL information, including Cortex Fabrics pattern name or number, color, all shipping instructions, and sidemarks.

Claims for labor charges will not be allowed under any circumstances.

Merchandise will not be accepted for credit after a finish has been applied, i.e., flameproofing, soil/stain, water repellent, etc. We will not be responsible for any processes to which our products may have been subjected after leaving our warehouse. We will only warranty our products as specified. We recommend a test sample to be treated prior to treating your entire order.

Special orders and custom orders will not be accepted for credit and/or return.

Products returned for credit must be shipped back to our warehouse at 24 Federal Plaza, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. All rolls must be in the original packaging, with original bale markings securely affixed.

Cancellations

No cancellations will be accepted on goods that have been cut exact.

Any written PO cancelled after 30 days of receipt will incur a 25% restocking fee.

We will not accept any cancellations on POs that require increases to inventory.

Custom Orders

Custom colors and patterns are available. Minimums will vary, depending on the product.

A 50% deposit will be required on all customs.

Up to 10% overage can be shipped and invoiced on all customs.

No returns or cancellations will be accepted on any custom product or special order item once the order is in production.

Substitution of Yarn

Occasionally, a yarn used in one of our fabrics will be discontinued by our supplier. Cortex Fabrics will substitute the yarn with the closest possible match.

Reserves

Cortex Fabrics will reserve fabric for 5 business days. Extensions will require management approval.

C.F.A.’s

If an exact color match is required, please request a cutting of the present stock for approval (CFA).

Approvals must be received within 10 business days, or the reserve will be cancelled.
